The NASH Series 2 Transfer NIC workshop will be held at the Illini Center 200 S. Wacker Drive, 19th Floor Chicago, Illinois, from Tuesday, July 11 – Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  Registration is required for all attendees.

Workshop Objectives

Workshop 1 Objectives [for Campus Teams]:

  • Bring together campus teams & introduce them to each other & form NIC-level cohesion
    for collaboration and support amongst peers
  • Build NIC-level understanding of the depth & breadth of the problem of practice (transfer student success) & build a community of support for practitioners to succeed
  • Introduce/deepen knowledge of improvement science to the campus teams, focused on philosophy, tools, frameworks
  • Create three action plans (realistic, time-bound, doable) for each team to implement during the first action period (45 days)

Workshop 1 Objectives [for System Leads]:• The objectives above, and;

  • Build introductory facilitation skills for each of the system leads to help guide campus teams through the improvement cycles
  • Build relationships between system lead & campus teams
  • Build system lead improvement muscle; introduction of key concepts and practice implementing them with the campus teams
  • Set system leads up for success in coaching campus teams
