HEFAS Fellowship Program – Pride Center Expansion De Anza College
HEFAS (Higher Education for AB 540 Students) was established in 2011 as an institutional and educational program founded by undocumented students. As a part of the program, fellows participate in a cohort model where they develop a hands-on research project, receive mentorship from staff and faculty, participate in monthly leadership and professional development training seminars, and present their project at an end of the year showcase. Fellows are compensated which helps them meet the costs of college.
