Why can colleges and universities no longer ignore their responsibility to refugees?
Globally right now, a record one hundred million people have been forcibly displaced, the most recent surge stemming from the war in Ukraine. The conflict has pushed more than twelve million Ukrainians from their homes since March 2022, both inside and outside Ukrainian borders.
Author Jane Roche is the program manager for the National Association of System Heads Refugee Resettlement Initiative, where she helps to mobilize public university systems to adopt Every Campus A Refuge.
